Humans are in a constant interaction with countless microorganisms (bacteria, fungi,viruses, etc.).

 

These exist not only in our bodies,

but surround us in the air we breathe, on the surfaces of our physical environment, in our urban habitat.

 

Through our macroscopic perception,

i.e. visible to the naked eye,

we are not able to register the microcosm around us.

 

When a space is deserted by people,

we perceive it as empty, lifeless, uninhabited.

 

What happens when we focus our attention on the smallest components of our environment?
